One of the Bad things to do with being self Employed and stressed is what I find it has turned me into.
Everything I Craft, I feel has to be sellable. I was making a Blanket for my upcoming Grandson the other day, Whilst making it I counted the Hours it took so I could work out how much this would have to be priced up for to sell, I took photo's that would be good enough to go on ebay and etsy not just good enough for me to track what I had made via my Blog. It is something that is haunting me almost...... My Craft did for a while turn into my business and now yes it is nice if I make something and someone would like to buy it infact it is fabulous but I need to Craft just to enjoy Crafting. I have seen many things Crocheted that I have really though what is the point of that??? no one would buy it would they and is it even sellable? Not oh wow that is nice I would love one of them ha ha one of these things is Crochet covers for tins. Why would someone want to Crochet a cover for a tin?? but it is done, here on this amazing Blog I love; Attic 24

Yes the are beautiful but the time involved is just not justified to me....... that was until today ha ha light bulb moment for me. Why not just for the sake and enjoyment of it cover a tin..... Not to try and sell but to actually just do for myself to enjoy the art of Crochet....... and so I did and how amazingly refreshing it was too :-)

Nappy Cakes, At Peace and Valentines Bunting

Wow I had a great sleep last night, Which goes to show it really doesn't matter if you stay up too late.
I am learning along with everything else, that I am a worrier, Not in the shaking over emotional sense but in a mind pickling sense, I started reading last night and got right into it but my mind or "other self" kept clock watching, I don't know why as I didn't have anything to do today. I think it must go back to being self Employed and having to be at work all day everyday. Anyway I didn't let this worry me too much as I stayed up reading this;

You can get it here for only £2.55. It is an amazingly touching story and if you like Books which Follow on you should probably read For You first as although it is not a follow on as such the People you meet in For you, also pop in for a look in At Peace :-)

Omgosh, I haven't finished it yet but let me tell you I had tears streaming down my Face, It was soooo emotional and as with all Kristens Books it is an amazing Story which captures you from beginning to end.

Here is a little peek of something I have been working on, Don't want to show the finished piece (and surprise :-0 it is finished, Took me quite a few hours but I sat down over two days and really enjoyed this and it is the biggest project I have ever started and finished. I am extremely proud ) as it is for my New Grandson, Who is not quite here yet but hopefully wont be long he he, I think maybe making this for him got me to the finishing it stage.
Also I have been very good and finished making my Valentines Bunting, Have uploaded it to my Facebook Page and my Etsy Shop yeee haaaa I am being good. Oh and I have also entered it here to see if I can win a Free Lesson, If anyone would like to go to the page and hit the Heart in the top right hand corner, That would be a vote for me :-)
At the beginning of the Year I also had an order for a three tier boys Nappy Cake, This went on my Facebook page but I forgot to pop it here. So to finish off here is my first sale of 2012 and I hope in time there are many more :-)

I went to Cake decorating classes yesterday with two very lovely friends, The pictures are here on my Facebook page It was a really amazing day, I do so love learning new things. I am not going to go into frenzy mode and buy, buy, buy all things cupcake but I have for a long while had a facintion with Fimo, So am going to put what I learnt into that :-) When I went to the NEC last November I did two Fimo courses, one which I really enjoyed, Making Beads and have slowly been buying things I need to be able to put this into practice. I do after yesterday need a rolling pin and I had an idea to make fake cupcakes so googled cupcake dummies..... and there are such things lol

So on ordering my items I realised I was thinking or more dreaming of what was happening the other end of the order. I had visions of a couple sat at Home and the order was Emailed through. The excitement of this brought smiles to their faces and they got up found the products and packaged them all up happily ready to take too the Post office in the morning. This vision just happened and this made me realise I really do live in Cuckoo land because although this is what sort of happens to me if I receive an order, In reality nobody probably even knows this order was place lol it has probably gone through a system of computers generating a Sales invoice for someone in a huge office to go and pick off the shelf's, then someone else will probably package up and put into a huge order bin which will be carted off to the Post Office and Posted. I do however prefer my Fantasy life :-)

I then after all that decided not to place this order as I have other ideas for what I learnt whilst Cupcake making...... So have in fact just lost a good half hour of my life daydraming and another Blogging...... ha ha oh my days I have problems :-0

It has been a little while..... I have been either poorly or busy :-) not, not wanting to post.... Which is good
I mentioned in an earlier Post that I made a Card with my Cricut and I would Post the Pic later.... Well you'll never guess what ahahah I forgot to take a Picture and the Card has gone to the Birthday Girl. So typical me.

I have however a lovey Ribbon Picture. I have ventured out... Just a little and bought some Ribbon to sell, I wondered why I never did this before, Ribbon is Beautiful, It doesn't have to be used lol Just looks lovely sitting there on it's reel and if People do want to buy off of me it is cheap to post, So an absolute genius moment for me :-D I have them for sale on my Facebook page here with a few other Valentines lovelies. I have also done what I believe to be a huge Money jump (gulp) and opened an ebay Shop. I have done this before when I had the bricks and mortar Shop and thought it was quite expensive at £14.99 with still having to pay listing fee's but with a Shop I can list several of the same item with one listing fee. So I will have to work hard and do lots of listings to try and sell enought to make a profit and cover that hefty charge. At least I am not overly stressed this time so can keep a better eye on things. I will post a link when I have a bit more listed.

The Diet has been going so so he he I don't feel the need to constantly starve myself or leave out the unhealthy food as
1. I have already lost 2 Stone
2. I have been so poorly with Virus after Virus and now a Cold, I deserve nice junk food as it makes me feel a little better
3. If I have to have a third reason I will think of another ;-)

This is a lovely Picture I took the other day. Ah afternoon tea, with a teapot makes me feel so special. I was just planning on settling down and making a Heart Garland (this has been made :-) and is currently being blocked as I write, Which is something very new to me and a whole Blog post on it's own coming soon)

Cath, Kirstie, Cheese and BFF

How's this for an amazing Picture :-) and what makes it even more amazing is the books were free!! I saved up lots and lots of nectar points and exchanged them for Amazon Vouchers and with the last few pounds I got these two lovelies. They actually cost me 33p he he but....... they are still a great price if having to pay Kirstie was £8 + P&P and Cath was £8.29 + P&P although they did send them separately so will be contacting them to see if I can get a wee postage discount ;-)

Diet going well, I made Lasagne as per diet instructions last night, It was beauuutiful, No pic again lol
This is quite sad but I must say it is so lovely Cooking the tea at night, It really is lovely to have the "want" to do things again, Just little things like this a few Months ago... well just last Month, I had no energy or interest in doing anything and I mean anything. It was as though I had no reason to go on although I know I had 3 very special reasons too. It is lovely to have my "want" back and so nice to do things for my Parents again. It should be me looking after them not the other way round and I think that was the hardest thing to cope with was seeing them see me so bad. :'(

Anyway was Herby Cheese for dinner today;

Who would have thought chopping a tomato and adding some Basil to low fat Grated Cheese would make it into this yummy filling food item?? and I don't like Tomatoes!!! but for some reason hidden away under the Cheese it tasted quite Yummy and was far more filling than 1 piece of "Normal" Cheese on toast smothered with butter and fat from the Cheese dripping over the edges. Ponder that!!

Cricut has been out again today, Cutting Heart items, Photo's will follow later :-)

oh and been for Indian tonight with my BFF :-) Not on the diet but a fab catch up evening

Didn't sleep at all last night so need to catch up tonight

Diet and smoking hmmmm and a bit of Craft in there too

Well I didn't intend to update my Blog daily but I feel as though I have something to say again today, So I will ;-)
Another positive to last year and being ill is that I have lost over 2 Stone from Feb. I wasn't trying, I just went off my food. This means that entering 2012 I am the lightest I have been since being pregnant (21 Years!!)

Really nowhere near here lol but feeling good.

This went without much notice as I really didn't have much interest in myself but as the new year approaches, We as a Family have decided to diet. This for me is an excellent time as I have lost so much without trying I can now try and hopefully loose more. I do find loosing weight to kind of stop after a period of time and I am sure that time would have soon been on it's way if I did not make a change. Soooo for Christmas I bought my Dad the "Tesco online Diet" and we are all having a go. ( My Mum and Dad moved in with me Dec 2010 as I was so ill and this is the "all" I will be talking about ;-) )
I only started today as I have been poorly with the Virus and so for our Evening meal tonight we had Marinated Fish, Ratatouille with Natural Yoghurt, New Potatoes and Broccoli. This is soooo not the norm for me and I cooked it!!! which also is not normal lol. So it does seem that 2012's new start is really rocking here. I did forget to say the meal was delishhh and now I am Blogging really wish I took a photo but I will learn from this and carry my Camera everywhere from now on.
Also last year I eventually gave up Smoking..... This was not actually very hard as I only smoked between 3 and 10 a day and would never smoke until late afternoon but every time I "lit up" My "other self"would start talking to me, Saying I didn''t want to die I value my life to much so why smoke, I hate the smell and taste, so why smoke and more importantly I don't want to be a smelly Nanna :-) So 2 Weeks ago today I quit and have had no cravings or thoughts on wanting to again.... Happy days and clever me.

Oh and just quickly on a Craft note, Look what I got today,

Lovely Mr Liddl got his Card Pack in again, They are such a huge mahoosive bargain. 25 Seets of 270gsm Card for an amazing £1.99 .... Yes that is right £1.99... So I had to get 5 packs. This card cuts a dream on my Cricut and talking of Cricut look what came out to play today :-)

I made a Card from scratch using The Craft Room and I am so chuffed that my Cardmaking mojo has come back. I am not putting a pic of the Card on yet in case my Friend see's but will do next week.

Reading mainly Kristen Ashley

So New years eve was good, Didn't expect it to be as I was ill but I forced myself out with a few close friends and had a lovely night.... I have however since been in bed with a nasty virus I cant seem to shift. This had made me reflect on illness.... I have had a very down year and probably had the most illnesses too but it also helped me see some positives to my last year.

The first and probably best and what my post is about is that I read a lot of books. I find reading such a great way to release the problems and frustrations I have and find it very easy to pick up a Book and venture into someone else's world.

I love a good Autobiography and this Year I started Sir Alan Sugar's, It has yet to be finished but I loved what I've read so far and was spouting out Allan Sugar Facts here there and every where.... Did you know Amstrad (his company) was made from his name A from Alan, M from Michael, (his middle name) S from Sugar and the TRAD is Trading - Alan Michael Sugar Trading = AMSTRAD. Love it :-)

I also read The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini plus his other Book A Thousand Splendid Suns. All of which I would highly recommend.

But there was one Author who totally blew me away this Year and that is Kristen Ashley

I am very lucky to class Kristen as my friend and as an added extra to this friendship she is also an amazing Author and so quite a few times last year I actually found myself saying "Thank the Lord for Kristen Ashley" She has helped me get through the most awful year ever and here is how.

Kristen is, I think an amazing writer, She is also very fast at what she does and on meeting her she had a published book out called Rock Chick, She has since published two more Rock Chick books in print but has changed to Ebook publishing and this year alone has released 24 Books!!!!( I have read 17 of them!!) I buy mine for my Kindle (on pc) from Amazon and they are an excellent price for the length and quality from just 77p ....can you believe that??. The other amazing thing she does is give you free chapters so you can sample before you buy. If you don't like you don't have to spend.

Here are a few of my Favourite Books;

All of the Rock Chick Books. They are a series of books starting with the Story of Lee and Indy and carrying through to different characters. These different stories of people kept me enthralled all the way through and whenever I started a new one, This couple automatically became my favourite,

They are an absolute must for people who never want a story to end. As each new book starts a new story with new people but all your old favourites come along too. Start with;

Paranormal Series. I think these are my Favourites, They are based in National Trust properties around where I live and although they have Ghosts and reincarnation in, which I am not sure about, I just adore these books. I think Penmort Castle is my Favourite but it is very hard to say as they are all Fabulous. I have yet to read Fairytale come alive but is in my Kindle waiting :-) Here are the links to the series.

So really this was a bit of somewhere for me to keep track of what I have read and need to read but also if anyone loves reading I may have just sent them on a path of discovery to a very lovely and talented Author who will I promise give you joy for hours on end.

New Years Eve 2011

Soooo..... here it is, the eve of 2012 and I find myself on my Blog.

Hoping that writing a few words here will help me release things I don't want in my head any more and give space to the new thoughts and ideas that will help me move on.

As always I am thinking new year, new start but I wonder how long it will last this year.

I do seem extremely positive, I have loads of new things I want to try and a great positivity to succeed this year. Which is pretty amazing seeing the year I've had.

I have given up my business, which led to (eventually being able to admit) a mini break down. It has taken me 10 Months to see light at the end of my very dark tunnel. I know there is still a long way to go but just this feeling I have is now enough to help me through to the end.

On the plus side. I am still only 38 which I feel gives me 1 Year and 5 Months to grow up lol I feel 40 is the time for me to be settled and happy with whatever I choose.

I finally can see that there is room (if I can find a decent one) for a Man in my life. This feels so strange typing as I have never needed or yearned for one, (Being strong and independent like) but I can see, someone to have your back in hard times could be nice, Someone to discuss your day with and share each others feelings could actually be a good thing but not essential, If one comes around I may not hold up the barriers so high :-)

I have goals for my business, A structure that if the first plan doesn't work there are plenty of others to try before I get to melt down. This I have learnt is much needed!!

I have given up smoking, Think I am on day 12 but feeling very positive about this,

I have learnt to trust no one but myself .... although having people around you is good, Just don't get pulled in too far with the need to have them in your life. I understand now that I am a very needy person, I never would have thought this but I do crave peoples time and company, What I have learnt is that people don't crave my time or company as much and I am left lonely with the need to be in company and they have just got on with their life with no thought for me. I am a dreamer and a thinker and this goes way beyond meeting someone having a day out then saying goodbye and on with your life, I continue to live in the time spent together missing and craving what we had whilst others just move on. This can be applied to simple meet ups for drinks, trips to the cafe or meaningful moments. I always need more and then punish myself with the what iffs. This is something I have just realised and needs to be worked on.

By far the best and absolutely strangest feeling of all is my daughter, (My one thing that I feel I have succeeded in doing very well with) is having a Baby and this will make me a Nanna.... of which I am extremely overwhelmed. This has to be possibly the greatest thing to happen to me and also the one thing I have never considered could happen which in itself is strange to understand. I do know though when the Baby is here it will feel like the most normal thing to happen and I will fit the role of Nanna well.

So there we have it my life in a few paragraphs ... haha. Hoping my writing will help with my positivity in the new year, I bare all and hope 2012 brings me what I need.

Update on my Crochet

A few things I have been working on since my last post. (No Gerbera lol)

I am a start and dont finish kind of person. I love starting new projects but rarely finish anything. So posting anything finished is quite a positive moment for me.

Here we have a few Piggies to be rehomed, A super duper chunky bag, Some pretty pink Crochet embellishments and a Sock Dolly, (She isn't actually finished, She needs a Mouth but she has been waiting around for so long to be photographed I was feeling sorry for her)

A few Blogs I follow have been "naming and shaming themselves of unfinished projects or wip's that never seem to get finished" I have way too many to name and shame but I do intend to work harder on finishing my wip's.

Gerbera knit - Crochet

Well after my last post I had a go at the Gerbera. This is what I got after two sessions.

5Petals.

(What I call a session is - Sit down, Craft till bored- go do something else) These two sessions were probably 15mins total as I do find Knitting not as exciting or easy as Crochet.

So me being me decided to have a go at a Crochet Gerbera. Got all my books out and had a search - Couldn't find anything that was even half as nice as the Knitted one. So..... me being me again decided to have a go at converting the pattern to Crochet. This really really didn't work. I then had the genius idea to do this;

Chain 11, Double crochet in 2nd Chain and all the way around the Chain until you get back to where you started. Double Crochet all the way done one side. Slip stitch at the bottom.

If anyone is actually interested in this and doesn't understand, Let me know and I will post more detail.

Do this until you have 32 petals as per the pattern and here we have what I did again after 2 sessions. ( These were longer more enjoyable, So I got more done)

12 Petals, They are a lot bigger but you can just adjust the stitches and hook size.

It looks just as good if not better ;-) than the Knit petal and was soooo much more enjoyable for me. I still have a way to go but at least it's an enjoyable start.

Well I have been away for ages but I am back, don't know for how long but a small flare for crafting has returned to me and I like my Blog!

Even though I am not in Business anymore (huge horrible long story, that I am trying to pretend hasn't happened) I looked through my Blog and thought it was great!! Lots of things that I have made all in one place and that, I like, very much. It gives me a sense of achievement. It doesn't even matter that I hardly ever have any comments lol. I still like it so I have decided to return.

It has been an absolute shit year for me. There is no other way to describe it!!! I have had highs but at the moment can only reflect and feel the lows. It is hard, very hard to move on but I am trying to do my best and so here I am Blogging again and it feels good.

Well, well been a while again.
I haven't been feeling at my best for a while now but my Craftyness has still been around. So I thought it about time to show what I have been up to in November.

I had an order for a maternity Card and this is how it came out. Really quite different from my normal style but I love it and really enjoyed making this one.

I also found this really cool tutorial here http://lifeofperks.blogspot.com/2010/09/recycling-news.html So I had a go. This was so much fun and mainly free apart from the paint. They are a bit hard to make first time round but the end result is well worth it. I keep all my wool in these boxes now. I love love love them.

Just a few cards I've made over the last few weeks. Am really pleased with myself as I have kept up a little of all my crafts.

Card Class at the Shop. We started Christmas Cards, Stamp I had from last year, Stamped onto shrink plastic and made a matching charm.

Owl day

Well I've had a very creative day today.

It all started a few days ago when I found a lovely template for an owl.

I printed it out and today I thought I'd cut the paper pieces out straight away rather than filing it away for "later"

So I did and made this card.

This then got me thinking that I could maybe cut this template out of fabric and stitch around it. So I did haha and this is what I got.

I'm so chuffed. I really want to get more into sewing but am finding it quite hard. So even though he's far from perfect i'm so happy with him. Not sure what I am going to do with him yet. Just look lovingly for a while.
So then I remembered I had a sock owl tutorial saved so as I had made two Owls I thought I'd go for a third. So here is my first ever Sock Animal.

Ha ha again he's far from perfect but I love him.

I think I must have bought the stretchiest socks ever though lol I could have filled this so much more it wouldn't stop stretching.

Ok so my Sit 'n' Stitch group have decided we are going to have a Coffee Morning for Charity. We are going to hopefully have a few stalls selling our Knitting and Crochet makes. I thought Bunting would be a good thing to sell as we can Knit or Crochet them and hopefully all join in and get simular sizes.

So before I can get side tracked with anything else I have started to make a pattern for them.

Please note, I have never made a pattern up before and I am just writing it here to save my ideas. I cannot be held responsible for your bunting being wonky if you choose to use my pattern lol.

Anyway had a little go this morning and came up with this.

Roughly 4 1/2 "x 4 1/2" Bunting.

Using a 3mm Crochet Hook and any DK Yarn chain 26 stitches.

Row 1; Miss first chain and DC into each stitch to end (25 stitches) Chain 1 and turn

Row 2; as Row 1

Row 3; as Row 1

Row 4; DC 2 together, DC in next 21 stitches, DC 2 together, Chain 1 and turn

Row 5; DC to end. (23 Stitches) Chain 1 and turn

Row 6; DC 2 together, DC in next 19 stitches, DC 2 together, Chain 1 and turn

Row 7; DC to end. (21 Stitches) Chain 1 and turn

Row 8; DC 2 together, DC in next 17 stitches, DC 2 together, Chain 1 and turn

Row 9; DC to end (19 Stitches) Chain 1 and turn

Row 10; DC 2 together, DC in next 15 Stitches, DC 2 together, Chain 1 and turn

Row 11; DC to end (17 Stitches) Chain 1 and turn

So there it is, like I've said I have not done this before, I did Crochet along with this pattern and got this;

But it hasn't been double checked yet.

Wow I've been away for Three Weeks.

I've really lost my creativity and cant believe it has been for that long.

I dont know what is wrong with me but just cant seem to summon up the energy to make anything.

I have a few things to show that I have been working on but really hope my mojo comes back soon.

I think I am getting on a little better have started an adult hat I have had in my to do pile and its looking quite good. Hopefully will get it finished tonight and update tomorrow.

Well before I lost my mojo I was working on Baby hats. I wanted a simple pattern that could be converted to Boy or Girl, This is what I came up with

Well I've had a few tutorials saved for these lovely bookmarks but never got round to making them and they are so simple.

I am going to make more for our new reading group that starts next week. I think it will be a nice welcome gift. Thought I would put peoples initials on them once I know who's coming.

Well I have neglected my Blog again and feel so bad. Alot has happened since my last post. I have been busy busy busy catching up on orders so I could go on holiday. I got everything done but was so busy forgot to take pictures of most things. I went away to Spain on 1st July and had a wonderful relaxing time with my Mum. The weather was really really hot but that was a good excuse not to do anything. I got back the following Thursday all energised and raring to go. On Monday I tripped on the stairs and broke my ankle and damaged my ligaments. Oooo nooo disaster. I have been going to work as much as I can but I can truly say it has been very hard. Everything is exhausting and not being able to drive is a pain. I have however had time to update my website a bit and get on with a few things I have been meaning to do.
Here's a few pics that I remembered to take of what I have been up to. Would really love to set a day aside to update my blog each week. So fingers crossed I can find the time.

I made this bracelet the other day and a customer came in
and bought it straight away. I was really chuffed!! She also ordered two more in Green. So here
They are; Priced at £4.99

Another Customer order. The Lady wanted something pink and pretty for her Niece.
She was so pleased wth the Bracelet she has now ordered a necklace. Bracelet £5.99

Another order from another Customer. This time the Lady wanted something delicate. So I used Amythest chips with seed beads, Again she was very happy, also had matching earrings. Bracelt £6.99 earings £2.99.

And lastly this order was for a chunkier style in Blue. Customer was very pleased with the design. Necklace was £5.99 Beacelet was £5.50 and Earings were £2.99

Hello, Well the weather here is amazing and has been for a few days. It really gives me much more energy. I have been busy arranging things for a table top sale at the Shop. I plan to have the Sale on everyday and am currently planting seeds that will hopefully grow so I can sell them. I am doing a bit of baking for a Cake table and have pulled out all my old books, cd's and dvd's to sell too. My Shop is based upstairs and it is pretty hard getting people up, So thought I needed to do more. So table top sale it is. I envisage having a small market stall up there but my mind does wander. So we'll leave it at a few items for now and see how it grows. Fingers crossed. Will post pics as and when it happens.

Well have had a few orders in for my personalised cards. So here they are;

Haven't done Decoupage for a while. Had a get well card ordered and I always thnk decoupage goes well on these. So here's the one I made.

Had a very specific order here. The person asked for a Landrover, Posh Camera and Posh Watch all on a Red background. Think I stuck to the criteria.

And lastly two simular card but with different themes. They were both to be Pink, Girly and Glitter but one was o have shoes and bags and the other baking theme. For the baking one I used the new stamps in my Shop. You can find them here if you like them.

Well I have finally had a bit of time to make some cards. Woo hoo
The first one I so wanted to do as Rainmac from MSE has become a DT for Magical Crafts
and I wanted to try and support her in some way as she always leaves lovely comments on my blog. I don't do her work any justice but it's my way of saying thank you. I did my best with what I had lol
The stamp I have had for a while and everything on my card is old stash. I am in a declutter mode so am trying to use up all the old bits and pieces I have to make way for some lovely new things. So I would like to enter my card into challenge no 14 please. I have followed the sketch exactly as it is because I dont really enter challenges I didn't want to mess with anything. You cant see in the pic but there are two gems in the corners as per the design. I need to learn to photograph my cards better.

This card was an order for a "pink glittery 18th card"
I have had the papers saved on my computer for a while. I knew they would come in handy some day!!! You cant really see in the pic but there is alot of glitter on the backing sheet and I cut out two of the butterflys and mounted them in the corners. There is a matching insert inside all glittered as well.

Well lets hope the card bug sticks and I get time to make many more. I really enjoyed my day crafting but realise I dont have many nice papers. So will be on the look out to sort that!!

I had an order in the Shop for 5 Large Hand Crochet Flowers that I have been working on. I've just finished these so thought I would pop a pic on for you to see.

After receiving this order I have been making more flowers to sell on my website. Have just uploaded them and you can find them here Large Crochet Flowers.

I love making these flowers and am a bit addicted. They measure approx 5" from petal to petal so are really quite big. Ideal for using on hats, Bags and pillows to decorate.

Gosh I can't believe where all the time goes. I have been busy honestly!!!

I have been working on my website trying to load all the pics and descriptions and it takes ages.

Think I'm getting there but it looks a bit dull to me. Should be able to launch it soon. Have to change my DNS (If you know anything about websites) and the company who holds it is in France with no phone number or Email. So it's been a bit tricky sorting it.

Anyway heres a quick look at my very first Nappy Cake I have made. I was really chuffed with this.

I have been meaning to make one for ages but never got round to it until my wonderful friend ordered one. So happy with how it turned out. I am trying to make more to put on my website and maybe some smaller one to sell in the shop.

Wow I have had no internet connection and have been away for what seems like an age. I have been quite busy though. First off I have had to change my website provider. So thast will be launched shortly. I also have quite a few unfinished projects on the go so hope they will all come together in the next few days.

We have just started stocking Royal and langnickle transfers in the shop. I think they are so lovely and can be used on any surface not just for papercrafts. I have been trying them out and have some lovely images to upload once the website is active.

Our new wool order should arrive tomorrow, So cant wait for that. We have some gorgeous pure cotton coming in at a very good price. So will hopefully be back tomorrow with some pics.

Here's a quick pic of some Crochet I have managed to finish.

The pig sold as soon as I put him on the shelf. So am trying to finish another one.

He's sooo cute.

I entered the crafty ribbons challenge 11 for some free ribbons. Never win anything but I was this time one of the first 10 to reply and was sent some lovely Valentines ribbons. All they ask is that you will submit two designs using their ribbons for them to show case. I was a bit rushed but managed to submit my two and they are on thier blog today. Time is really flying at the moment and I am finding it more and more difficult to get here and post but there is so much I want to share.

I had an order for a Maternity leave card and here it is.

My camera is rubbish. Really need to look into getting a new one.

Just to show you our beautiful fruit baskets we now sell. The small one on the left is £6 and the other large one is £11. I think they are a perfect pressie. Am looking into the price for postage too.

Wow been a while but I have been busy. Here's a little of what I've been up to.

Finally managed to work out how to make these origami bowls. I found the instructions in a magazine ages ago but never got round to trying. Must admit it took me a few hours to work out exactly how to make them but I do love them. Works better with thinner, hand made papers.

Last Sunday was very quiet so I managed to make this little lot. Very pleased with them. Have not done too much Jewellery so glad to have a little play.

Have a few more things I have made will update more tomorrow.

Well I have been without internet all day at work and have so much to show you.

First off I made another card using my minds eye papers. I really love these this time I used the bloom and go range.

The image is one I bought from here I have just found this site and love all her drawings.

The dots down the side look like brads but they are actually dots from Anita's Glitteration stickers.

I also tried a tutorial on how to make this card for my website. Just simple taking pictures as I went along. Not sure if it is any good but trying out new things all the time.

My website has been coming along nicely and will launch it soon on here. Just a few more things to add and although I haven't got everything on there I think it is ready to show people. It is really scary though worried in case it doesn't work properly but I wont know until I show people so fingers crossed.

Gosh I have been really busy today and what with that blinkin snow it has taken up alot of my time. I had to clear the path to the shop in case someone came in. Look what happened!!!

Before you ask... no I haven't got any young children to amuse I made him all by myself. I am so proud. always hated the snow as a child it was to cold for me but I thoroughly enjoyed myself this morning. I can really see what fun can be had.

While I am frequently updating my blog I thought I would put my pictures on as well. Then everything is in the same place. I'll see how it goes and if too much will maybe start a different blog.

So here goes. The first one is the view from my window yesterday as the snow started.The Second is this morning. What a change and how beautiful.

A challenge card.
This is for the MSE challenge posted by Rainmac
It was a sketch challenge, Here is the sketch

And here is my card.

I used my6x6 My Minds Eye wild asparagus papers, some gold mirri board. A few Anita's Glitterations, Circle and square and some peel offs. Am really please with it. I was worried about the circle as I have no die cuts I find circles very hard to do but I put an Anita's cirle glitterations sticker on my paper and cut round it with my craft knife. Not perfect but ok.

Hi all,
This year as well as card making I plan to expand my craftyness. Sewing, Cooking and Crochet to name a few. My mum dropped her sewing machine off the other day for me and I plan to use it. Have signed up to this site http://countryheartandhome.blogspot.com/ and plan to hopefully follow. This week it's Carrot cake mmmm and as I have a shop I really need to be on top of things occaision wise. So have sorted my shop a little, Cleaned the windows (wow) and trying to get ready for Valentines day. (think this is the next big date on the diary).I didn't realise I had so many red things but I just needed a bit more red so I painted some glasses I had. Never done this before but was pretty pleased with them.

Also popped into the Charity shop to see if I could get a table cloth, Came out with a lovely one for £1.50 two pillow cases to practice sewing on 25p and this!!!

It cost me £1.50 !!!! Everything was 1/2 price. I love it. Planning on sanding it down and recovering the top but even if I don't get round to that it's perfect for all my sewing makes.

One more quick amazing thing.... I got an e-mail yesterday from Crafty ribbons. I think it was the first 10 e-mails they received they would send out a free pack of Valentines ribbons. I e-mailed not expecting anything and got confirmation this morning that I am going to get a pack. I am well chuffed with this. Never take the time to enter things like this but my new year, new start is really working fine. Just got another e-mail from them with a tutorial on how to make ribbon flowers. Well things keep getting in the way of my blog but new year new start! I say.
Life is a little less crazy now and I am in my new business premesis which is oh so cosy and alot less stressful than the cafe. I hope to have lots more time to craft whilst running my shop.

Well lets see if I can do this. Here's my post it note holders, Memo pads and Calender holders. Decided not to use bull clip on post it notes as seems pointless because you cant pull them off. So used some double sided tape to stick them to the card.

Then theses are my Flowersoft cards I had ordered. Not done much flowersoft before but enjoyed it. Was really pleased with these. Just embossed a little around the edges. Made each one slightly different.

And as i'm on a roll with photo's, This is my bargain from staples. It's pick and mix for £3.99 and I was chuffed with how much I fitted into the container. Just had to share it!!!

Photo's not very good as I don't have a camera, just use my phone but better than nothing. xxx

Hey I'm back. What a year. Just looked up my blog. I need it to post some pics to show people. Cant believe the last time I was here was in December!!!!
Cant remember how to use it lol so thought I'd write a quick post.
Just read through my posts and had a laugh when I said not got much craft stash, I never then but I sure have now. Although not done much crafting I have still been buying and even have a second business now (the cafe is still going) I have a craft shop!!!!! So amazing. We are Do craft stockists and I've just bought my first full campaigne so fingers crossed.
Anyway I'm not here to talk about business but to get lovely ideas from all you lovely people and get back into serious crafting. Like I said I have a few piccy's to upload so will get onto that now.

Well at last I have found the time to post a pic of my card for the funky fairies challenge.

Hi there, My name is Wendy and I am in awe of all the craft blogs I have found today. So with just a few hours before bedtime I thought I would quickly try to join you all with my own blog.

I run my own business "Wendy's cafe and sandwich bar" in the village of Yatton. So don't at the moment get much time off (in fact today is my first proper day off in 7 months!!!) Although saying that I do try to fit in as much time as I can crafting. We have a little card class running at my cafe on tues afternoons that my mum and myself get to make some cards. Without that i really wouldn't get much crafting done.
